I thought the base game was very good and played through the entire game with 2 of the classes and half way with the other 2. The zombie expansion pack was really good. I would advise peeps to pick this one up.

Got a decent way into the game with the class that uses Bloodwing, but it didn't really suit my style. I'm thinking about starting over with one of the others.

That was Mordecai, the sniper based class. Its meant as a distance fighter and nothing else. The Bloodwing is great for getting at enemies under cover.

I went with Roland, the soldier class. His sentry levels up quite quickly, and I love dropping it into a busy spot and watching it mow down Skags.

I wasn't doing much damage using a sniper rifle as Roland (well, duhhhh) so I switched to an assault rifle last night and could two shot kill any mercs that took three shots previously with the sniper rifle. Already up to level 13 after a run thru an Adult Skag infested cave.

Yeah, I was just looking over the classes and decided I would try it again with Roland. He seems more my style I think.

With Mordecai, I was going with a gunslinger build where the revolver is your main weapon. It didn't work well for me; you need to be really accurate for that build, something I am not. I'm more spray and pray

I played through as Mordecai. The dlc was tempting, but I'm working through Deus Ex Human Revolution, will go right back into Hitman Blood Money and have a bunch of other recent Steam Sale things to hit up after.

Another bump for this game, it really is a great game as SP, and even better as co-op MP. The weapons have scaled up dramatically in damage as I level up, and I'm now at a level 34 as a Soldier.

Still rocking the Glorious Havoc, an assault rifle with incendiary damage and a 2.5 scope. Low recoil, and I get crit headshots with ease. I've maxed out the sniper, pistol and assault gun levels at 10, so I'm working on the shotty and SMG class.

I also picked up a Combustible Hellfire, and that's my go-to weapon for mobs, as it lights everything on fire. Plenty of achievements to work thru, currently trying to achieve the 'How much for the Planet'? one that requires 9,999,999 in cash. I'm near 2 mil, so I got a ways to go.

Anyone play any MP ???

Edit: Looks like mix for levels is NOT 10, as I just hit 11 with my assault gun. I got a nasty shotgun from Baron Flynt last night that hits for 200 dmg and fires off 6 shots in about 7 seconds - the perfect house sweeper.

i got stuck on a mission playing in co-op. needed someone else to pass the mission but no one around that lvl to help so i got bored and never play it again. lol. i liked this game till that point where i got stuck (basically i needed a gunner while i drove on that mission but no friends around.) i have to re-download this game. now i'm feeling like a waste my money on it and didnt finish it. thanks wt. i think i was lvl25 or more as soldier.

Yet another bump for this game, it really does have legs and I continue to pour hours into it. I completed Playthrough 1 at level 38, and then moved on to the Zombie Island DLC. Finished that off at level 41, and then moved on to the Knoxx armory DLC. I'm at level 45 and have only 3 missions to finish off this DLC.

Weapons seems to be at a plateau, as I haven't gotten any stellar drops even after I went through the Armory. I still use an assault gun that deals explosive damage and downs Crimson Guards in 5 seconds flat. Trying to do the 'Circle of Duty' mission was a beast. Increasing waves of bad guys that have a lot of heavy weapons.

The really good drops don't start until Playthrough 2 of the game, and even more at Playthrough 2.5 (3 times ???? Ouch - can you say GRIND !!!

The best drops are Pearlescent, but they are ultra-rare and may only occur once every 10 run-thrus of the Armory or fighting Crawmerax the Invincible.

I snagged this game at Christmas and haven't beaten it yet. Kinda losing interest in it. I'm playing as the stealth class (I forget her name, you have a cloak and stuff) While fun some of the harder guys to kill i just cant seem to do. Almost like you don't output enough damage.

Interesting that the Siren class that you are currently playing is considered the best class for a SP run. I always go Soldier, as it fits my gaming style, but the Siren is able to cloak and go hide in a corner while I just have my turret that acts as a meat shield.

Getting the right gun with a corresponding class mod makes a huge difference, Bacon. If you aren't using a dark orange weapon, say a Combustible Hellfire, then that is your problem. I mentioned my Glorious Havoc with explosive rounds, and it only hits for 90 dmg, but with my Rifleman's class mod it routinely rings up 250+ dmg per round.

I used to think the purple weapons were the best, but the dark orange are a level above purple, and the pearlescent, ultra rare weapons, are a step above dark orange.

Sniper rifles do a lot of damage, but they don't shoot fast enough, nor are they able to deal with hordes. SMGs have the large mags, but they spray too much. That's why I'm recommending an assault gun, preferably a Havoc with explosive rounds. Once you get proficient with that, the game becomes a lot easier.
