Here something funny, I was standing in the center of Riften last night and going through my inv. and decided to drop 10 torches on the ground that I didnt realize I was dragging around.

After closing the Inv. window the towns folk rushed over to the torches on the ground claiming that they wanted them. Then a fight broke out between 3 of then wanting the torches. LOL!

LOL, that's great. I dropped a few notes I didn't need anymore and the nearest NPC called me a litterbug...

I just leave random stuff around if I get overburdened. Sometimes I'll go back, sometimes it just stays. I think I finally picked up the banded iron breastplate I tossed at the feet of the Jarl of Whiterun the other day. All that happened was some guard complained about me littering.

I'll have to try dropping something people may want, like food.

Yeah, sad thing is I stopped and reloaded from when i left the Thieves Guild to try it again to record it with Fraps.
But during the second try no one gave notice.

It was so funny to see the lady with the two handed weapon who hangs around the center go after the beggar lady, then the lizard lady who runs the food cart near the Inn jumped in. LMAO. So wish I was able to record that.

I was doing some blacksmithing awhile back and dropped some Dragon Bones. Being a light armor player, I didn't want them. So I dropped them near the forge and the lady picked it up and said "Oh you dropped this, lucky someone honest like me found them and not a thief" or whatever. Thing is, I don't care who takes them!

BTW my wife stole my dragon bones that I told her to carry on our adventures. Luckily I married the chick from the Companions (she reminds me of Eir from Guild Wars 2) so she can't die, but she stole the dang thing.

If anyone is still on the fence, consider this from a cost-benefits perspective:

I have about 41 hours played.

I've completed 3 of at least 15 main story quests. I've completed 1 of about 10 secondary quest lines, and only just started a second. I've visited 2 of about 8 main cities. I've cleared out 50-55 dungeons out of at least 200.

At this rate, I'm looking at a 200-hour investment. Which makes Skyrim the largest single-player game I've ever played--by far.

                  Tremendous value here folks.

I'm leaving this one as the easy gift for my wifey to get me for Christmas.

I think my all time hours spent in a single player game was around 250 in Baldur's gate 1 or 2, can't remember which.

I just sort of roam around and pop into caves, towers, etc. that strike my fancy. Some of them end up being enormous.

I played through BG2 and Throne of Bhaal this summer, and it didn't quite add up to 200 hours between them both with all the quests and stuff.

I have about 80 hours, a couple of level 100 skills, am level 62, and haven't even touched a lot of the main quests. This games totally worth it.

How to take your ‘Skyrim’ book collection on the go
Written by Jason Evangelho | Saturday, November 26, 2011

Just yesterday, the staff here at VGW was fantasizing about how awesome it would be to have an iPhone or Android app that would allow us to read the massive collection of historical documentation, fiction and non-fiction from Skyrim on the go. Well, Elder Scrolls addicts, we’re here to announce something even better: A fellow Skyrim fan and software developer has peered into the PC code and extracted every single tome from the corners of Skyrim, and has made it available in convenient (and of course free) Kindle and EPUB formats.

The savvy programmer noticed that all of the volumes were in plain text, and took it upon himself to create a cover and table of contents. Then he converted it into separate Kindle and EPUB (Nook, iOS, etc) formats which literally anyone can read (though, legally, you should own a copy of Skyrim).

If you’re anything like us, you’ve been scouring the snowy expanses and hidden corners for new books to digest, and meticulously placed them in your virtual homes with the intent of reading them, but there’s just all that addictive adventuring getting in the way. Now you can augment your Skyrim experience on the go, absorbing everything from The Dwemer Inquiries to all eight entries in The Wolf Queen series.

If you don’t have a Kindle or a Nook, we’ve collected a few ways for you to read this collection on your PC or Mac:

                            EPUB Reader for Firefox
Calibre (EPUB/Kindle) Reader for Linux, Mac, PC
Free Kindle Reader for all platforms
                            Free Nook Apps
