It plays just like WoW for the most part. New environment, different races, same good solid game play. Proven track record of success. They didn't invent the wheel, or even a better mouse trap, but they sure put a new set of rims on the wheels and made the trap look shiny

I'll be playing it as well but on PvE. Seriously, I am done with the BS associated with MMOs and their fanbase. This game feels like a great single player which fits me just right. And I think I'll be starting a a few days after release too.

From my beta experiences, SWTOR is more like WoW than it is like SWG. SWTOR has a lot of focus on story telling with all of the voice overs. On every quest pickup and return, you have a voice over and mini-cinematic. You are never reading a quest to learn what the quest is. This is a major change from any MMO I've ever played it really does immerse you in the leveling experience.
I was disappointed that the economy will be nothing like SWG. I'm expecting it to evolve into something like WoW's where crafted items are just a luxury you buy and sell on the AH. In SWG, crafted items were essential so it really created an interesting market through out the game.Nauticas

I haven't had much time to play, but I have characters on Rubat Crystal (RP-PVE) and Jung Ma (RP-PVP). I played WOW since 2004 up to the beginning of the latest expansion and got a bit burned out. Was part of a nice small guild (with actual female gamers even), but just got tired. Don't think I can ever go back with the damn panda bears they are adding in the next expansion.--Bones--

I'm on the Darth Bandon (I think thats the name) with my old DAOC guildies.
I'm not huge into the PvP of the game, but I am totally, and I mean totally loving the story lines. I had played a Bounty Hunter in beta and got her up to 20-ish. I loved the story line so much, that I decided to roll one on the live server just to continue with the story.
I'm level 32, mercenary. I'm sure I could level way faster, but I doing each quest and just getting into the dialogue. They did a awesome job here. I've played dozens of MMOs, from UO, EQ, DAOC, EQ2, SWG, COH and many more... and none of had a single player element as well developped. My friends say the same about their story line quests as well.
Game play and stuff is pretty much standard MMO. Not sure what else they can do. I would love a little less cartoony, a little more real, a bit of Conan style blood and adult content. My biggest issue, as with all MMOs since Asheron's Call, is the lack of death penalty. In UO, if you died out in the forest, you left your corpse there with all your gear. Now? People just play stupid and run without thinking.
I find that with smart people, you can have quite a challenge. We are enjoying doing the Heroic 4 quests with 3 or sometimes 2 people.
Not sure about crafting and all that stuff. Totally staying away, focusing on one toon's story right now[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]
