Which ones do you like/have? How many?

I'll start: I have around 30 mods. MOstly texture updates to npc/enviroment stuff like trees rocks etc and sky stuff sunglare, easy to read road signs, 3d map, kill kids. You know the basics.

Hahaha the kill kids mod allows you to make a character who is a child. Cool side effect.

Graphics mods mostly. And a weapons pack with some different weapons.

My biggest complaint with Skyrim is with the smaller amount of weapons/armor in the game.

I'm just running with a few:
"No more blocky faces" (fixes those awful issues with the nose)
"male and female dunmer" (removes all those bags under the eyes)
"detailed body" series (higher textures for skin, no nudes)
"Enhanced blood"

Also use:
"4GB Skyrim"
"FXAA Prost Process Injector"

mod. I think the guy said he brought it over from oblivion. I've seen them a lot at my SCA events. They are pretty sweet.

I think that is it. After my first playthrough I will probably get the other fun ones like killable children, sexy/sexier models, etc.

Go to the unofficial mod site Skyrim Nexus and register. Look for the ones you like/need. I recommend you start with the best of all time ( Skyrim top mods of all time ) list since you will choose from mods that have feedback and are verified to work and not cause you problems. I recommend you start with one mod at a time until you know you have a stable game.

Install in steam:

>Steam >steamapps >common >skyrim >*read instructions in mod (most will go directly in data folder while others will ask that you create a folder inside data folder)

To add to Tuqui's comment; Try getting textures ones. The default textures for everything suck when you can get the updated ones. Since this game was made for console then for pc with little changes, they didn't make the textures better and overall way better in detail when modded. I mean TOTALLY better. Anything from terrain to faces/bodies, dragons. I totally recommend digging through the mods and find the one that allows you to have dragon weapons. Not really for the weapons but it's side mod is that it actually makes dragon armor better than Deadric armor like it is supposed to since smithing says dragon at 100 yet Deadric at 90. Only down side, cost a flawless diamond when making since Deadric costs a Deadric heart. I say it's a fair trade off. But anything texture upgrading is a must in my opinion. Why hinder yourself with vanilla textures when you can make it look AMAZING in every aspect? Just go through the top 100 in "non-adult" for those and then "adult" for other things. Adult doesn't ALWAYS mean naked. there are a few cool ones in there too.

so i tried to install the blocky face mod and well can't launch the game.. had to do a delete the game and reloading.

ok so i got the ore vein working... then I see a download manager. I thought it worked through the mod manager but can't get it to work.. Any ideas?
