I was kinda surprise at the size of the line last night. Far smaller then I expected, and way less people then during the Skyrim midnight launch... I was in and out in about 10mins with about 20-some-odd folks ahead of me.

So I'm about 20 hours in, and this game seals it: Mass Effect has the single best storyline in the history of gaming. Part of that is because as a trilogy, it's had time to develop--Bioshock 1 may have the best single-game story, and Deus Ex 1 and Deus Ex Human Revolution are both pretty good, as are other Bioware games.

This one though--wow. I'm going to have to read up on a bunch of wiki/walkthroughs when I'm done to see what other choices throughout would have resulted in.

Not there yet. Don't even know how far away I am as I'm trying to avoid walkthroughs/spoilers, meaning I don't know the order of the priority missions.

I started the fight to free Earth tonight.

There are three major fleet battles in this game, cutscenes. They are right up there with the battle in Return of the Jedi, a couple of Babylon 5 battles, the liberation of Deep Space 9/Battle for Cardassia, and the opening battle in Revenge of the Sith in terms of being the best visual depictions of starship combat.

They are simply superb. It's worth finding them on YouTube even if you don't play the game.

I really liked the story, wish it was longer... It felt short and might if even been then ME2. Enjoyed the interactions with the ME1 & 2 characters.
