I have always loved the aliens and predator franchises. Unfortunately, all the games that are associated with these two are flops. I am really hoping this new game is a winner. I have seen some videos and it looks great. I just hope it plays great too.

The other thing I am contemplating - should I get it for PC or XBOX? Before you jump all over me, I know the gut reaction is PC of course.... especially since I just got a nice new one in July. The only reason I consider XBOX, is that I play a lot of co-op games with my best friend, who has a crappy PC. However, we would have no problem playing together on XBOX. I have plenty of time to debate this, as the game is due for a February release date.

I am also sure the PC version will have plenty of mods, which is another great plus.

Has anyone else been keeping an eye on this upcoming game?

After the last Aliens vs Predator game I pretty much swore off the franchise. The movies are great (just bought Prometheus today!) but the games have mostly sucked. The best part of any of them has been the first time you play as a marine and you hear the motion tracker start to go off with the exact sound effect used in Aliens! Chills! And then the suckage began.

I was real good at AVP2. Especially as an alien. The single player was pretty fun too.

So much for my hopes, game got horrible reviews and comments from everyone. I bet it will be $4.99 on Steam in a month or two.

Yes, it is the definition of mediocrity. Linear, dark average graphics and horrible voice acting. It would be more fun to have a homeless guy tickling my feet with a shard of glass.
