I guess it looks good. I just have a problem with DLC.. i get to the end of these long games and just happy its ended. I tend to do so many side quests and when I feel like everything is done I go to do the main quest lines. Maybe I should change the way I do it.

Just not sure if I want to restart a journey.

I understand. It's almost like we should wait for a few years after a game comes out before we play it, so we can play the game and the DLC all at the same time for one full experience.

I usually enjoy Elder Scrolls DLC because it's usually a substantial amount of content for a decent price.

That can be bad as well. I did that with Fallout NV, and I didn't enjoy the DLC as much as I would have if I had come back to the game to play them after a short break.

Depends on the DLC. Fallout NV had 2 great pieces and 3 ok/average ones.

The Elder Scrolls series from at least Morrowind on through Skyrim? Superb expansions in both content and quality. I'll be getting this one, though perhaps not immediately if it costs as much as Dawnguard did. I'll wait for a sale.

Then again, since the content is on another continent, it may well be worth the full price. They do that kind of thing quite well (Bloodmoon for Morrowind and Shivering Isles for Oblivion).

I would buy it for another continent.

My only issue is that it's pretty hard to keep earning levels with characters in a game this old. You could start a new hero DLC usually requires a certain level to be playable.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean Rico. Earning levels is easy..of course when you reach lvl 50 it kinda slows down a bit but still fast. Of course if you go out and explore and do a bunch of side/radiant quests..you would get that extra xp. I always do this, follow main quest along with bunch of side quests and clearing every mine or location and setting to cleared. It takes hours but you also get bunch of xp. I was lvl 72 but had to restart back to level 52 due to a bug and now I'm lvl 58 in less in 19hrs. I keep forgetting to save and sometimes had to restart mission Ohh and you wouldn't want to start a new character as some quest/location or items might require a certain lvl before use.

I played like this for fo3 and NV. My favs. I most likely get this dlc too but depending on the price I might wait a month extra. Hopefully out by Christmas

He may be running into the same thing I do. I end up at extremely high levels when I'm done the initial release because I do everything I possibly can, and when the DLC finally hits it's sort of easy because it's intended for lower level characters. Even with radiant levelling most of the things I fight in DLC die real fast and easy.

Yea this is the way I end up playing. Towards the end all things take a few hits. Almost makes you want to play the hardest type of character.

I tend to play a certain style and eventually you stop earning experience that way. I'm at 100 on sneak, 1 handed, archery, enchanting, smithing, light armor and a few more. By the time a DLC comes out you need to switch play styles to keep leveling. I played through the vampire dlc playing in heavy armor and 2 handed weapons, not using destruction magic at all and slugging it out toe to toe (or toe to paw, werewolf ftw) just to keep levelling.

Dawnguard did try some things to mitigate the high level issue but they didn't work. Even when they threw 2 Legendary Dragons at me, all I had to do was switch to my regular gear (like Rico I was stuck with two-handed and archery, having achieved 100% in one-handed and heavy armor long ago), and swat them down. Or potion up with fire resist and health regen and thwack away to increase my 2-handed skills. 2-4 high-level Vampires was another story--that actually got to be a challenge a couple of times when not wearing my main gear.

One thing is that 2 Legendary Dragons can take down the health of even a level 80 guy real fast with those breath weapons if not wearing fire-resist enchants, so this approach probably would work for most folks who didn't get 80--which is dang near the level cap in the game. I think I'm only missing about 11 skill levels, so level 81 or 82 seems to be the cap.

The funny thing is that a normal Legendary Dragon is a lot harder to beat in this circumstance than the big bad bosses are when I go in fully armoured and weaponed up to finish the DLC.

I still haven't ran across a legendary drag yet.

My big gun in the game is dual casting enhanced fire based destruction magic while wearing a suit of armor that makes destruction magic completely free to cast.
