    ahh thats it.
That was a great game. We went as far to put a divider going down the screen so we couldn't see what the other was doing. The first true player vs player game or RTS game.

Looks like the are making a free to play upgraded version called air mech. It is in beta now.

Descent? Ick. No other game came close to giving me motion sickness to that degree that quickly.

Burger Time on the Intellivision, Centipede on the Colecovision, Dig Dug in the arcade.

First PC game I got addicted to was the original an old text based game called The Mist, Senior year of HS I believe. The next one was the original Wasteland, Decsent was the first MP game that I played on the PCs at the flight line at ERAU back when i was a lowly flight instructor, what an awesome game to play with a bunch of competitive friends. Rouge Spear was also good and was the last game I played before coming by Cains Lair to play a little UT2k4 ONS.

Dig Dug.... it was fun. I sucked for some reason at it. Joust was a good game vs someone else. Always fun to chase.

I played Myst also and never finished it. There is also a game called Mist that was on old DOS based game.

Here is a boring youtube video of the game.

Man, I feel old now. The first game I played was on an Odyssey2. It was a two-player game called War of Nerves! where you were on a board littered with trees and you each controlled a guy who could run around. Each guy had 4 robots. The robots had only 3 things they could do: move TOWARD the other player, be summoned back toward you, or shoot. If they shot another robot, that robot froze. If your player touched one of his frozen robots, it unfroze. The goal was basically to touch the other player with one of your robots. The trees were just used as obstacles to avoid the robots, and you played by strategically summoning and releasing your robots to keep them out of harms way, lead them around the small screen, and defend you if you were on the verge of getting tagged.

Then there was Showdown in 2100 A.D.! You and your opponent were robot gunslingers, trying to shoot each other across the screen while dodging the bullets and hiding behind things. You could only shoot straight out in front of you, but the bullets bounced off everything.

The Odyssey belonged to my grandfather, so we only got to play it when we visited him. At home, my father borrowed an Apple ][ from work that he never gave back, and we used it to play very cheap games like Russki Duck, The Wonderful World of Eamon, and eventually Wizardry. The first gaming system we ever had was an Atari 2600 which we played Joust, Mario Bros, Yar's Revenge, E.T. and H.E.R.O. I always wanted Pitfall but we never got it. Rampage I remember getting and being disappointed because I expected it to be like the arcade machine, which was mind-blowing, but instead it was cheap, shitty Atari graphics.

My brother once bought me a game called Tax Evaders. It was hilarious and terrible, and yet we played it a ton.

Descent, Mech Warrior, Dig Dug. Those where the most I played. And the joystick worked on Descent and Mech Warrior really well. There was another jet fighter game I played but cant remember the name of it. You had to actually land the plane to complete the level. I never could land the dang thing.
