Yeah it came out today so was just curious if anyone was going to pick up the game. 3rd person shooter MMO and it ties into witht he show on SyFy. Here's a link so you guys and gals can check it out and see if you like it and if its your genre.

Heads up that there is adult language in the game. Some is actually replaced with alien words that are pretty much have the same meaning. Reminded me of "Frack" from BSG series. Probably where they got their idea from. Hope some of you pick it up and let me know. I have the PC version of it but it does come out for xbox 360 and the ps3.

I might look at reviews. From what I've heard so far is that the game isn't much to talk about, and most of the hype is just concerning the TV tie-in.

IDK about floping, Terra Nova wasnt half bad and they canceled that ffs.
I do have defiance, I played the first few days but I have some electronics projects keeping me busy atm.

Trion worlds already is under category of company that releases game with massive amounts of bugs and performance issues.... (SEE: RIFT), that reason alone i will not be buying defiance

So far, players seem to like it better than professional reviewers. In general, buying decisions are influenced by critical reviews, but the unusual TV tie-in will give sales an early boost.

I've been playing it since it released. It's not too bad - there definitely are some bugs and issues that need worked out but I am enjoying it so far.

I hate to judge it off looking at it, but I watched LevelCap and FrankieonthePC review it (and they loved it, so I am not just going along with the reviews) and the shooting mechanics and graphics look kind of dated. I mean the idea of the random boss battles that everyone can join in on are cool, but other than that, a lot of the quest mechanics and interactions look like something from 5+ years ago....
