Star Wars Battlefront

I was hoping for Battlefield: Star Wars but got something much more like COD: Star Wars.

That being said I do like the game quite a bit. Of the 9 game types I really like the X-Wing vs TIE Fighter mode and Droid run which is basically capture/defend the flag but the flag keeps walking around. Several of the game types allow you to play as a main character from the movies.

And I'm digging the Jawa laser shotty.

Will I understand the game if I haven't seen any of the movies and know nothing about the universe?

Unfortunately there are no dog tags awarded for melee kills either. You just get the rush off delivering an armored elbow bash right to the back of some rebel scum's skull.

Leave it to EA to take the gun that you unlock LAST and make that the weapon you get right off the bat if you pay an extra $10 for the premium edition. Seriously? Nothing like being a level 1 running around with a squirt gun and having another level 1 playing with a hand cannon. I figure, OK, just earn the fricken thing. So I level up to 25 and the day I do they release a patch to NERF THE DAMN THING!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS??!!! It's like they turned a .50 DEAGLE into a .22 Derringer.
