I thinkk Carbon said a while back that Oblivion is a mile wide and a foot deep, Morrowind is a mile wide 10 feet deep

OOO for oblivion is amazing (along with a few mods I made )
I used to spend alot of time moddingg oblivion and making character models.... people loved my stuff
I think I might have said something like that in a previous thread, though it's possible I had read it somewhere else earlier and just liked the statement so much I started using it.

I still have guarded hopes for Bethesda not turning Fallout into another Oblivion, but I've given up on TES series for the time being (mods just don't do enough to it for me to enjoy it fully, though I do admit they help). To each his own I guess, but so help me if they screw up F3

Oblivion rocked except for the constant "shut the gate by working your way throught the same blood drenched tower" over and over.

Remember in Seyda Neen (sp?) in Morrowind you're just out walking around the woods right at the start of the game and a guy with waaaay too powerful jumping boots just falls out of the sky screaming and face plants right in front of you? And you're all "WTF??".

That was the guy that invented the perfect jumping spell. He just forgot to come up with a good way to land. You could learn that spell yourself, if I recall correctly. Not the best idea to cast it though.

It was good fun to cast it and get a good running jump and take off, though.

You could also cast slow fall as you were getting close to the ground and you'd be okay, as long as the slow-fall had a magnitude of about 4 or more. I guess the only thing you'd have to worry about is getting close to the ground and seeing "Spell Failed!" when you cast slow fall.

I loved different things from both Morrowind and Oblivion. Hopefully the next Elder Scrolls can find the sweet spot between both of them and incorporate the best from both worlds.

God I loved Morrowind... I remember walking out of Seyda Neen and wondering "My god... left, right, straight, or back?" I went right once, I ended up in Vivec, I went right again, I ended up on the top of Mt. Kand... Mt. freaking Kand.. and got subsequently torn apart and eaten by some weird dog thing... lol.
Going straight got me to a nice little imperial town then Balmora. I love that place Going straight and taking the other fork in the road got me close to Dagoth Ur and into The Blight.... not a good place for a Dunmer wearing a potato sack
And left got me to a few fishing villages along the west coast...

But yea, the Neravarine storyline was SICK!! Reminds me of Wheel of Time

Did anyone else get a little freaked out when you take the Kajhit slaves shackles off and he got immolated by the owner of Tel Branora?

I remember figuring out the trick to becoming a god in the game...
Get the Exquisite rings from the Tax man and the stash, go to Balmora Mage guild and steal the Charms ( someone correct me on the name pls ) and enchant one with levitation, and another with regenarative health.

In Morrowind it was worth going into a Dwemer ruin, you could come out rich and with amazing items... In Oblivion you go into an Altmer ruin and fight through a few bandits and conjurers and come out with a Welkynd stone...

But how cool is it in Oblivion to rescue a guy from inside a painting?

I liked Morrowind better. It seemed there was way more in the game you could do. There's about 15 different factions you can join in morrowind, and about 5 or 6 in Oblivion. Plus, Oblivion has horses, quick travel, mapping of caves and dungeons, and many other things that in my opinion totally ruined the game for me. In Morrowind you had to work for your quick travel and sometimes it took ages because you had to find one of those big bugs to get to an area and travel all over the world, just like an airplane heh.

Oblivions fun, I still try to play it, but it seems way easier, and doesn't have enough game play.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
