When you walk up to a ladder you'll see a little "climb" Icon. Thats when you press your "USE" key. Its set to "F" by default. Use the same key to open and close doors and enter/exit vehicles.
I have yet to join a server where people are actually playing the game. Instead most people are just wandering around looking at all the pretty stuff and figuring out how to use all the gadgets and what not. There is a pretty steep learning curve. The game is choppy for most people as well so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
Let me know what you get I'd be interested in comparing specs
x6600 quad core (OCed to 1333x9 or a QX6850 Extreme)
Geforce 8800GTX (mine is the stock oced 630,1000,1350) card
4gigs of OCZ ram and 4gigs of ready boost
Vista 64
BTW how do I pull up my FPS on the crytek engine (which I loved in Farcry but the net code sucked)
In Far Cry, you would use the parameter r_displayinfo = 1 to display HUD stats. Maybe it is the same for Crysis.
When I run the Crysis Beta V3, I use the video detect button in the System Settings portion of the game lobby. After scanning, this returns a recommendation of medium settings. I use these settings. Here are my rig specs.
--------------------- Begin Rig Specs
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.77GHz, Dual ATI X1900 XTX in Crossfire, Catalyst Control Center V7.9, 4GB Dram, 160GB WD Raptor, DirectX 9.0c (August 2007), Dual Boot: Win XP Pro SP2 (32 bit), Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit)
--------------------- End Rig Specs
During game play, my FPS ranges from the high 20s to the high 80s.
