They have some really interesting concepts but I will be surprised if this ever makes it to release. The more "off the beaten path" an MMO is, the less likely they are to sustain financial backing.
As far as futuristic MMOs go, I'm with you on that one Carbon. Unfortunately every futuristic MMO to date has either sucked (AO, SWG, PS, AA) or had a brutal learning curve and time requirements that led to a stable but small number of players (EVE). Publishers think that these games don't sell because they're sci-fi, when they really don't sell because they are bad games.
Fallout and WH40K both have MMOs in development. Be at least a couple of years, though. I hope one of them succeeds well enough that futuristic MMOs aren't completely written off.
Hellgate: London (billed as an MMO but isn't, it's built on the Diablo/Guild Wars concept) is a mildly entertaining timewaster in the meantime.

First off, it'll be a chilly day in hell if the Fallout MMO ever sees the light of day. It hasn't even started development - Interplay is still securing financing (of which they need $30 Million) which they need before they even begin. As of now, Interplay is barely a going concern, let alone a thriving software house capable of running a AAA MMO.
As for the Sci-fi MMO thing...whoever is working on WH40K better hurry up. Starcraft 2 is coming soon, and it's painfully clear Blizzard is setting it up for the jump to MMO status in the same way Warcraft 3 launched WoW. And if Blizzard were to do a Starcraft MMO (especially one more focused on military combat or possibly FPS/TPS)......there just aren't words

I agree...if there were ever a MMO for SC it would be INSANE!! I have never really got into it, however if they released a MMO I would def get involved

THQ has stated that they are not even going to try to compete with Blizzard until WoW is on the decline. In other words, don't hold your breath for this one.
