Planetside has always been my fav game ever. It's a massively multiplayer FPS, and it's AWESOME. I took a hiatus from it while I platyed 2142 with you lads, but since the server is going down I think I will return. I can't remember my accoutn so I'll have to level up and what not. It costs per month, but it's totally worth it. You cannot imagine how BIG the world is, and how intense the fighting can get. Check it out for yourself!

I'll be on the New Conglomerate, I haven't decided what server yet however. I'm going to talk to some of my other friends who still play and see where they are at so Ican join up with them again. We could make a CLR outfit on there if we get enough players.

Either way, at least check out the webpage ... it's a truly one of a kind game.

I played Planetside from closed beta until shortly after Core Combat was released. I liked what the game was and had a lot of fun, I do not like what it became. The constantly shifting weapons and vehicle balance, the continent locking, etc. I tried going back once, but the ingame ads killed it for me.

An animated sign with audio advertising either Tokyo Drift or Fructis Shampoo over each weapon station was just too much.

I did have one of my greatest gaming moments ever in Planetside, though. My clan in beta all had air certs. As we approached the coastline of one of the continents with several fully loaded Galaxies, escorted by multiple Mosquitos and Reavers, one of my teammates started playing Ride of the Valkyries over his mic. It was both hysterically funny and inspiring at the same time. We kicked a lot of butt when we landed.

If they're running a free trial it's worth checking out if you've never played it. The battles aren't nearly as big as they used to be since they put population caps in place, but it's worth a look.

i loved planetside. DxM(my T2 clan) played it for a while. i just don't care to pay a monthly rate to play a game.

Trash, you should check it out again. I also stopped playing a bit after CC came out because I didn't like what the game became. However, some friends of mine still play and say it's better then ever. I'm going to at least give it a try. I still have my VC Raging Primates charachter.
