The ammo perk and the Cap perk have been helpful in keeping a good stockpile.

I was always running out of ammo until I took the perk that increases the amount of ammo you find. Between that and getting to 100 on small arms so I can kill with fewer rounds I am never completely out of ammo anymore. At worst I have to switch back and forth between the assault rifles and the 10mm weapons for a bit. Or you can always break out the shishkebob (-1 for spelling) and just go old school til you find some bullets ya like.

Close the distance on your target, fire a bunch of shots on the way at the TORSO.

Hit Tab

Select their head (if it isnt at 84% or higher get closer or hit tab and tab again so they move their head to a better position)

Select all 3 rounds into their head.

If it doesnt explode, the next shots to the torso should put them down.

Also, if you have the combat shotty, swap to that weapon as soon as the sequence ends. Use that for the final shots usually only takes two shells for me when their head doesnt explode.

Dogmeat helps too.

I think you mean "V" and not Tab unless you changed your keys! Vats is V on default!

But yeah, Close in on your target and fire at their torso with less accurate guns and when up close, use shotty or chinese assault rifle to the head. If it's still alive a few more shots will kill it off or use your handy dandy shishkabob or however you spell it and finish them off with a barbeque look.

I forgot that I changed that to Tab.

Its just way easier to press in a hurry when you are about to get your butt stomped if it is in Tab.

It's kinda funny how many times I have hit it to evaluate a situation...

It's also good for figuring out exactly how many threats may be in the room - just cycle left or right and it goes to the next target

Well I think I have given up on buying CoD:WaW, and despite my hatred of DRM, I am going to try and pick up Fallout 3 today if I can get out of the house.

Too many good reviews, and I am getting tired of the CoD franchise enough to yearn for a change of pace. There's enough meat in this (and other) threads to get me started as well.

I just built the Rock It launcher, and I just want to say- haha!

It's basically a junk launcher. You can load it with anything you got and fire it

I just love the railway shooter, it even sounds like a steam train. Right now I'm just roaming the wasteland with my dog and super mutant, that laser gattling of his sure is nice.
