Yes.
This is especially true if you're on the team that gets no kills for the whole round. And this most often happens if your team is facing a "premade" team that uses VOIP (such as Team Speak). Voice comms enable moving & targeting as a unit, instead of as individuals. Either way, playing gets easier with experience. Very soon, the developer will adjust the matchmaking system to prevent 8 random players from fighting 8 mechs in an organized unit.

Try to group all your weapons into one single firing group. And wait until the target is being lit up by others and simply steal it by getting RIGHT UP IN THEIR FACE and FIRE into the cockpit. This is what I see the people "who have kills" do. They're not firing with team or helping, they are simply Kill Stealing with one big shot at the end. Sure you get cash for assists etc but it's not nearly as much as these guys are getting for last shotting your hard earned kill.

They are nerfing LRMs a little today (error in last patch).
LRMs are good for c-bills either way; a kill assist is worth as much as a kill.

Not only that but normally after 3 or 4 hits from the missile barrages, you destroy a weapon or two. That's a solid bonus of cash as well.

Yeah, I am playing with the Catapult that has 2 LRM15s and 4 medium lasers. Those LRM15s can do a lot of damage, but nothing like this:

Yeah, firing at the enemy out of range and ya just turn on your heat vision. Watch them come out and SNIPE! 3-5 shots to the cockpit is a kill on most mediums.
