Yep, it's true. If you pre-roder L4D2 you get bill's hat as a wearable item in TF2.

Well is that somethiong that nees to be signed up for? I didn't see it in my cart when I went to pre order so I canceled until I figure out if there is a code/coupon.

No, you don't need to sign up for it or anything. So long as you have TF2 installed then you're good to go. Steam searches your already bought games list and if it sees you have TF2 at the time you pre-ordered L4D2 then steam will unlock the hat for you, nothing else is needed other then you having bought TF2 before buying L4D2.

on a side note, what is the verdict on l4d2? of those that played l4d, are you buying l4d2?

Well DA, I've got it preloaded and after playing the small demo I can see where Valve wanted to get paid for it even though it does feel more like an expansion pack. I would say it is worth getting. Especially because all of the Custom maps for L4D simply needs to be converted over to the L4D2 format in the hammer editor, which basically means it'll take very little work to transfer all of those custom maps and what not.

I never played L4D but i'm loving the L4D2 demo so far. Will be getting it preordered soon.
