Current stats used in new updates?

When they launch a new update, are your current stats considered for completion or do you start from scratch?

Ex. I have 63 teleports in a single life as an Engineer. Should they have an achievement for this when the Engie update comes rolling on in, and lets say it asks for 50 teleports in 1 life, do I get this automatically?

Bad news - if it was like it was in the past, achievements, some stats 'stick' and others don't. IIRC, my total points for the Pyromancer achievement was carried over, but some of the other ones such as "I Fry' did not carry over.

So thats not a definitive answer, but suffice to say that if it is a lifetime achievement it will carrry over. I dunno where that Engy one would fall

I think the teleports will stick, since it stays on that performance thing, and the sentry kills too, but idk if the overall things like kills with a wrench or just kills will be saved
