Hands down, medics get the least lovin IMO.
We need another another Medic!

I do see mostly the same people playing medic. It is not a popular type at all.

Love it when Vito plays medic.
And we DID have scads of medics last night, and dominated partly because of that. That was kind of unusual though, but alot of fun.

Anyone agree?

I find I'm playing more medic than engie these days as we always seem to have 2-3 engies. Although when I do play medic, I hear people complain that we dont have enough engies.

We don't CARE what class you play.
A balanced team though, makes success more attainable.

You can live without engies, although they make it better all around, with teleports, dispensors, and Sentries.

But they aren't successful without some dedicated Pyro's to keep their stuff up and running if the other team has a good spy or spies.

Without 2 or more Medics on a full team, you basically can write it off unless the other team is not very good.

You can use Pyro's, or a Soldier in place of a Heavy.

There is nothing that can replace the Medic. It isn't the Glamor class at all, very intense, and (As in all classes) good and bad medics. A uber at the right time can make or break a round.

Why do you think most classes target the Medic first? Without the Medic, the Heavy is a walking easy target. With a medic, they are very tough to bring down.

Who is going to take down the sentry around the corner? A uber'd medic and friend. Who is going to take the objective? Usually a medic and friend.

Don't think a medic is helpless, I've killed my share of heavies, Pyro's, Soldiers, Spies, Engies, and Scouts with saw or pop gun on the medic. And isn't that embarrassing..

So MAKE the long run and ignore the Tele, so the Medic can build up their uber. Make it easy on them. Yes, you can take a pyro flame and survive, but a medic can't for very long. We are totally concentrating on the toon we are healing. We aren't looking for back stabbing spies, or Pyro's/Soldier's/Scouts coming up behind to wax us. That job is for the other toons, not the Medic, unless they just decide to show people how a Medic can kill without help.

Medic class is busy busy busy. There is people on fire, people with low health, people that need that extra bit of Medic Lovin. During a Gold Rush defense, I'm healing Everyone on the field of play, because one more full health toon, means the other side is at a disadvantage assaulting.

Is their any other class more critical, but Pooh Pooh'd more than a medic though?

It isn't like we can't do or enjoy other classes. We can be VERY successful playing other than a medic. It does give satisfaction to know YOUR heals or Uber's made the difference in a match/round though.

I will usually switch to medic if I notice we don't have any or only have one.

If more people harnessed the power of the ubersaw, I think there'd be more medics.

I used to run with a friend and we would just 2 medic uber exchange our way across a map. Only takes 4 ubersaw hits to charge an uber.... just uber, hit 4x, uber other medic, hit 4x, repeat.

More than anything the entire other team follows you around for a while.

I just love the medic call button and how people constantly use it, even when they are not injured. They are getting ready to move so they call for a medic to support them.

Then they complain when they die because I didnt discharge the uber on time...without thinking that I can't just charge in straight on with them as I'll die from a few quick hits.

People don't respect the class and think that a medic is there to be their personal heal whore the entire game.

I got my Baptism of fire from healing 5 man groups in WOW.
You'd see Healers in Purple epic gear that couldn't heal better than a green garbed priest.

Truly though, I don't WANT my friend to die, but I TRULY don't want to stick my Body out there to get blasted by the 2 pyro's, a demo, and 2 snipers that are licking their chops over an easy kill. I'll try to stay behind this rock/wall until I get uber. You want to waltz into a group of enemy players before that, out in the open, and you MIGHT see your Medic high-tailing it in the opposite direction.. lol

Seriously, please be aware of places that the medic can heal you AND protect their white coat from blood splatters. Sometimes, it is just a matter of inches, but it means life or death to the Medic.

I won't abandon a player if 1v1. Just be aware of the bad guys ganging up on us. Situational awareness. By the time I say "Oh Crud", it is too late to back off. You are in the driver's seat.

if you ever see me go medic which its only a few times and i get to uber you, u mostly likely see me go ahead of you to take the hits from the sentry and everyone else shooting at us and let you have a clean kills without you ever getting push around from the sentry guns or pyros but if you aint much successful during that process i would bail on you in my last 4sec of my uber life.

I like medic but im not very careful or cautious. If i see someone pushing and trying to advance i will follow them into hell. My way of rewarding people who are trying to win. Way too many people sit around trying not to die, because there is a sentry around the corner or whatever and they stop pushing.
