    Warfare Dawn

    Name: WAR-UGL-Dawn
    Version: Beta2
    Compatibility: UT3 Patch V1.3
Description: UT2004 to UT3 port of ONS-Dawn for UGL
    Comments:
ONS-Dawn originally created by Sjoerd 'Hourences' De Jong

When final, this map will be meant for both public and private (competition) servers. Teams from 3v3 to 12v12 should experience great game play with and without the orb. This Beta2 version is meant for 5v5 or 6v6 without the orb.

WAR-UGL-Dawn is part of a series of warfare maps that attempts to bring the best of the best competitive UT2004 onslaught to UT3. The goal is good game play and high frame rates (and not always visual aesthetics). The UGL series of maps are designed to be fun to play on public servers as well as the more serious private match servers.

    It looks beautiful.

I still haven't been able to get Dry Ice to load so but I hope to get it running tomorrow if I get the time. I will also put this on in.

      WAR-UGL-Dawn-Beta2.ini
      WAR-UGL-Dawn-Beta2.ut3
      and
      WAR-UGL-Dawn-Beta2_LOC_int.upk
      (same for dryice)
      Files go in this folder:
      \My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps\

There is an exception to this, but the test versions of DryIce (Beta3) and Dawn (Beta2) are fine in this case.

        Looks great.

I miss the days when maps were made for 32vs32.

I don't seem to have a "Published" floder. Can I just create it?

Attached is a screenshot of the folder structure. Hope it helps.

The .zip files have this structure as well starting with the "My Games" folder. It makes it nice to unzip into the "My Documents" folder knowing that the entire structure is automatically created if folder(s) don't exist.

I think I may have created too many folders.

Here is how I have the file now. I can get to the maps but I get a message when I launch UT3.

                        Thanks!

I have a little more work to do on the visual details. Someone pointed out to me I forgot the node link between the two center nodes. If you see any errors or have a suggestion, let me know. That is why this is Beta (beta 2 in this case) and not final. This map is not done by any means!

The error msg refers to the top level folder "Program Files" which is bad. Just delete the files you accidentally added underneath that folder.

I will let you know if I find anything that seems out of place. Its amazing how after playing on it for just a few minutes I felt like I had been playing on it for years.

I will try to get those files cleaned up to get the messages.

                          Thanks for the help.
