Note: We have tested it well. Therefore, we believe HT2050 (see installation instructions below), is fully compatible with UT3 and will not interfere with regular UT3 game play. HT2050 is a known as a total conversion mod. The uninstaller fully removes HT2050 since all files are in a separate HTGame (not UTGame) folder.
What is Hostile Takeover 2050?
Hostile Takeover 2050 (aka HT2050) is a First Person Shooter set in the future: the year is 2050. From the website www.hostiletakeover2050.com:

Game Play Overview
HT2050 is not too unlike UT3 however, 1) the teams are meant to be different, 2) three game modes are integrated into the game play, and 3) perks can be used to gain strength, armor, and weapons.
HT2050 selects at random one of three game modes: Steal, Sabotage, HostileTakeover
Steal - means you locate the item to steal using the hud (look for a light blue reticule). Once you find the object to steal, select it by pressing the Use key for 5 seconds. Next, go to the exit point (a similar light blue reticule).
Sabotage - means you locate the item to sabotage using the hud (look for a light blue reticule). Once you find the object to sabotage, select it by pressing the Use key for 5 seconds. light blue reticule
HostileTakeover - a form of death match.
Teams
When one first joins a HT2050 server, press the escape key and select either Infiltrator team or Corporate Security team.
Infiltrator Team - This team breaks-in to the Arcon building and steal or sabotage the objective. Infiltrators do not respawn . . . so stay alive.
Corporate Security - This team defends against the attempts of the Infiltrators. Corporate Security players always respawn after dieing.

HT2050 Install Instructions
1) Download the UT3 mod package: ht2050-setup-0.7.0.1.exe
2) Make sure UT3 is at current patch level and double-click on ht2050-setup-0.7.0.1.exe
3) Follow the install directions including locating UT3.exe.
4) To play, double-click on the HT2050 icon which should be on your desktop
5) Locate a server and join
6) When in HT2050, press escape and select either Infiltrator or CorpSec.
Other
Server availability - In the event the server is not online, simply select Host Game and follow the menus -- this is the equivalent of Instant Action. No bots are available at this time. You can explore the map.
News - Hostile Takeover 2050 was submitted to Epic's Make Something Unreal Contest and entered in the "Best FPS Game Mod" entry. Wish us good luck.

With disappointment in the Shadowrun game and various other cyberpunk themed games and idea was formed to create the essence of the gameplay which is translated from the RPG. We came up with the concept of a multiplayer FPS game that took some of the RPG elements to create the fun aspects of those games "combat".
Some of our ideas that we had actually seem to have cross pollinated other games which have come out since we sat down and nutted the game idea out. But all these games owe there original source to the cyberpunk rpg genre of the mid 80's, which we are taking the majority of our influence from.
Our aim is to create a fun, action packed, cyberpunk genre game which gives everyone the opportunity to play a style to suit there personality or feeling for that given moment. Your gameplay style can be that is a stealthy hunter, heavy hitting muscle or the lowly Corpsec guard ready to take down the big boys, with your superiority of numbers.

- Three Game Modes randomly selected by the server
- Each team has different weapons (for example, dart gun vs. flare gun, etc.)
- Each team has different objectives (for example, defend vs. steal, etc.)
- Each team has different perks (for example, SystemNanites vs. Armor)
