Can't get enough servers!

I'm at my new job, and trying to run UT3. After the initial load of servers...it only sends 18 or so results. And only 2 of them have players in them. (Cain's aren't there)

I make sure to show empty/full and the "any" option for pure servers. (trying to play/spectate Warfare)

We use AVG where I work. Somebody here thought that maybe ports were locked? I'm confused and would love to jump onto Cain's server(s) at night.

Any Ideas?

It's possible the firewall/router you have is stopping the multiple ping requests going out as it sees it as flood. I'm not sure how UT3 does the requests but filtering out empty/passworded servers cant hurt. Just Search for populated ones. Even at peak time there are not many of these though. Enough to fill one page on the browser maybe. At the slow end of the day you might only get 5 or 6. The game is pretty dead.

Patching the game to 1.1 may or may not help too.

The other thing you could try is direct connect with the open command in the console if you know the server ip.

Anyway....that's upsetting about the "popuarity" thing. I was hoping that wouldn't be it. Too many good games all at once, I guess.

As an IT guy I call this type of thing "job security". Keep it up...
