I have been wait 30mins on the connetions screen and I still can't get to play I have checked my firewall I wonder if it because I using Vista ?

No, same issues here on WinXp.
Guess the server selection is still buggy. Though its 100x times faster than BF2142.Please like Pocket Radio Player on Facebook to support this little Freeware app. -
Keep clicking. The browser shows empty seats (i.e. "32/36") but it is still full. All you can do is keep trying. It will take some time.

I found it a lot easier to get into the TDM server. In fact i never even managed to get into the VCTF server once.
