    Keybinding for messages ??

    Anyone remember how to keybind nessages and/or commands???

    I had old keybinds for UT2004 and I cannot remember how we did it ??

    Open my docs\my games\ut 3 demo\config\utinput.ini


    Bindings=(Name="N",Command="BasePath 1")

    Command would be Say Hi there this is cains lair

    etc

        I'm not sure on all they key names yet, epic forums hae reports some bindnames dont work

        numbers are spelt like one two three and so on

        Scroll wheel button is mousemiddlebutton, i dont have more than 3 so no idea on what the extra are.

            Its a common issue, a lot of people are not just getting that but also every setting file reset.

            So far i've been lucky, not had any major issues with the game like these.

              My son's controls get reset all the time but, mine don't.

                  I jsut set the files as "read only" that usually stops that stuff .......

                        I can't get any settings to save either -- but since the pipedswitchweapon doesn't seem to be working right now, I'm not really concerned about my settings being lost. Will just have to wait for the Epic guys to address it. I would be.. annoyed .. if they removed direct INI editing and made people use the craptastic-console interface they provided. But I remind myself, it is a beta demo, and there is a chance things will change... and I keep reminding myself of that. Like now. I still am. Reminding myself, I mean. Yeah...

                          INIs in general are quite different from 2K4. Seems somewhat more complicated at the moment although I do like the fact that there are now dedicated INIs for specific aspects of the engine.

                          BTW, no settings resets here.
