Few Keybinding Questions

I've tried to set up UT3 with the same keybinds as I used in UT2k4, but I can't seem to get a few to work.

When I try to bind shock to Mouse4, then sniper to Mouse5 - it overwrites the shock binding and treats Mouse5 as the same button as Mouse4. I have a mx510 and I have never had this problem.

Also, is there any way to make tab bindable, and have it not open up chat? I can't count the number of times I try to reach for the impact hammer (or shield from habit ) and stop dead typing awdadadwawwwwwas.

it's a beta. so far binds don't work as well as previous unreal games. i certainly hope that changes

Not sure on the bind but you can have it stop opening the console.

1. Go to My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTInput and open with notepad.

2. Scroll down and find the line TypeKey=Tab.

3. Change it to TypeKey=None then save.

I really hope keybind and keyboard setup in general gets fixed asap. They seemingly only added US english to the beta demo meaning that when i tried to enter my email i couldn't and had to copy paste it from notepad. Tab and @ open the console for me.

UK users. You will need to use ALT+64 to get the @ symbol when entering your email address in game

I found out about that after i had set it up my way. Still kinda stupid that they forgot about UK keyboard layouts.

Forget UK board layouts. They just really need to let us bind tab. I ALWAYS use tab for scoreboard. F1 is just too far away and awkward. Why not keep console at tilde, where it's been for a decade?
