Tom Clancy dead at 66

Wasn't as much a fan of his later work, but I enjoyed the earlier stuff, especially when younger. Another author of our time bites the dust.

Oh, that is very sad to hear. He will certainly be missed. On my prized possession is The Hunt for Red October first edition. One of my bucket list checks was to meet him and have him sign it.

I also loved his early works. I stopped reading his novels when he started farming out the work.

Sad to see. Agree with Apache--he was good up until he stopped writing things himself.

My mom called me and told me this earlier today. A small part of me died inside. His books were what really got me into reading when I was younger. He was the one author that my mom and I both liked and could talk about. Sad day.
