Microsoft caves to EU pressure, will offer browser ballot - Ars Technica
Anyone else find this to be ridiculous? I'm not a fan of IE at all in the first place, but I don't think MS should be forced to bundle competitor's browsers in to their product. Heck, I use Firefox at home....but I have IE because due to all the quirks IE6 and it's predecessors contained there's stuff that just doesn't work in anything but IE.
I also find it ridiculous that the EU told them no, you can't send your OS out with no browser and let the OEMs or consumers add it, you have to include all the others instead.
