Are there any free mic boosting programs because i have been told many times that my mic is quiet and would prefer not to buy a new one. I would google for one but last time i did something similar i got screwed(cpu crashing when launched, bad installation file)

Not that I've heard of. I've never looked really, but as long as the drivers with the sound device use the max settings there's nothing else a software could do other than overdrive the stream. If I see any I'll post it though.[IMG]http://thepebkac.net/images/sigs/Outdoors_sig.jpg[/IMG]

Do you have a headset? You could try finding a mono/stereo type adapter (i.e. it fits into a three contact stereo line mini port but, only has a two leads for mono) and route your mic through the line in port.Comment
