Yes, I tried to uninstall/reinstall. No luck.

Someone from the UK site took ownership of the problem and asked me send him screenshots of various things. Hopefully will hear back today, but being several hours ahead, I think I won't hear anything until tomorrow morning.

            You said that, not me.

Besides, I haven't heard Sirex speak online. At least not in several years.

Well I just hosed myself. The guy from Samsung pointed out that Windows is saying that the SSD is a scsi device and not a SATA device. He said to uninstall the drivers and reboot to see if Windows would load the SATA drivers. If not it's a MB problem. uninstalling the drivers didn't fix the problem.

So I decided to update the BIOS on my MB. Update runs fine, I reboot and it says it needs to run a constancy check on the HDD. It has been an hour now deleting "orphaned files" and now recovery "orphaned files". My guess is that the BIOS was reset and I lost my RAID configuration, and now I totally screwed on my HDD. Good thing I have a backup because I'm sure I'm going to have to do a complete reinstall.

Yeah and it had run so great. I don't know what changed that made Windows think the SSD was a scsi device. I assume some Windows update. Should be a fun day of recovery, if the consistency check ever finishes.

Well it's up and running again. Still waiting for all my restores to complete.
