I have a MSN account, its asking me to add an email account so it can send a security code to this email. What a PITA, It wont send it to my gmail because it's already associated with the account. So now I want to cancel my msn account. Is there an easy way to have email forwarded or do I have to send an email to everyone on my list.

I would create a free Yahoo account and use that for MSN's security protocol.
Changing email addresses is difficult because you've got to deal with three types of responses:
- Some will promptly update your address in their address book.
- Some will "add" your address without deleting your old one (they don't know how).
- Some won't read your address change email.
Setting up forwarding is possible, unless you close the account.
You could notify everybody of the change immediately, keep the account open for a year, and then check whether anybody worthwhile is still using the old one (before you close the account).

I assume that MSN has migrated your email to the Outlook style web interface as they did with Hotmail. If so, on the top bar click the settings icon to the left of your name and select More mail settings. Then select Email forwarding, click the Forward your mail to another email account option and enter the address to send to. Since you already have a gmail account you can use that address, unless you also want to get rid that one as well.--Slaughter

Thanks guys. I realized that I had a work email & aa.com that I rarely use, I got the code through that one. changing that email would be a huge PITA.
