And you though PhysX cards were bad...

This has to be the most pointless thing i've ever seen/heard off.

The HIS iClear card is HIS latest solution to video card noise reduction. It has an excellent implement of state-of-the-art design and technology and give you a better gaming experience by reducing the distortion and noise generated from graphic card. It reduces the noise distortion generated from high-end graphic card (from both Radeon and GeForce) or TV tuner card, which provide up to 10% increase performance on Signal-to-Noise Ratio.

For example: The SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) is up to 10% (SNR 38 vs 34.3) better in ATI X1300XT model.
PhysX, Killernic and now this! I wonder what useless products they'll think of next.

Actually, a product even a bit more worthless would be the 'HERS' model of that card. That's for the PC geek that has everything, including 'HIS' and 'HERS' matching noise reduction cards.

When I first read this I was like..."you could do that already with SNMP". Then I realized that you meant any old switch or button.

capacitors and resistors actually. it's a good old RC filter.

Ah yes, RC filters, I tried very hard to forget about them after school *grins* Wonder how much that little "beauty" costs compared to selling price.....

My guess is the most expensive piece of that board is the silkscreen saying HIS.

There isn't $1 worth of components on the board.

I'm betting more on the metal face panel myself paceman They probably get a discount for ordering massive ammounts of the silkscreen

I bet I could come up with a homebrew card like that pretty easy though if I knew what all the pins were used for. That would require research though

You may be correct about the face plate. It the most substantial piece. :-)
