Well 1 major nice thing about ATI having a card that can compete with the 260 gtx is that NVIDIA is droping prices hard on pretty much everything. I just bought myself a second evga 8800 gts(g92) from newegg for $199 plus there is a $30 mail in rebate. And the really funny part is i looked at the price 2 hours ago it was like $215 and a $20 mail in rebate. I bought one for myself for Xmas and it cost me $350, and it burned 2 7800 gtx ko's i had. Well that much power should last me atleast 2 years. I will have changed my motherboard and cpu by then. Competition in the market is nice when we save $$$$$. 260/280 cards are down 100-150 bucks since launch.
Wrong. AMD are doing very very well in the OEM and mobile markets.
I can agree on this one as well. Did you realize that the "value" laptop marketplace is DOMINATED by AMD?
This "AMD is dying" crap has been going on since 1998.
Every year someone suggests AMD will be out, that a Chinese Corp will buy them, that Intel will buy them. And then.....nothing happens and AMD puts up its' regular numbers.
