Anxious to put an end to those annoying Apple ads and the negative perception around Vista, Microsoft's new OS may come a lot sooner than it has said.

Why do I feel like it will be just another debacle? Being a PC guy the only thing I envy is how the power books turn on instantly. I would like to MS have a win but I'm doubtful.

Won't take that bet WT I also wouldn't be on the OS being great, from what I've read so far. Guess we'll see if they learn from their mistakes and can take some advice though when the beta comes around.

Sad thing is, Windows 7 will actually just end up being everything that was stripped out of Vista !!!

Promises, promises ....

Nothing to see here but the same old stuff. Thats whats so disappointing to me. Win7 appears to be everything they couldn't ship out in Vista, so it looks more like Vista SP2 than a brand new OS. If they spent 6 years making Vista, why all of a sudden can they dump a shiny new OS in our laps in less than three ??

I think it will be a revamp of vista, same old crude MS has pulled for years. It had better be good or I am staying XP FOREVER. Maybe by the time 7 is out vista will be good..LOL
