I need to reboot my ReplayTV units about once a week and was looking into this. Sounds like it will do what I want. Any ideas?

Strangely enough, I was just cleaning out a closet yesterday and found my original X10 unit from about 8 years ago. The kids started plugging it in all over the house and hitting the buttons on the remote, but I rarely used it at that time.
The X10 stuff is interesting in its features, in that you can go small or whole hog like my buddy did, and replace your wall plates with X10 gear there as well.
The PC will also function as an X10 remote (it shows a 2D remote that mimics the X10 on your screen) so it should perform the reboot, but not in a clean way. It might just cut power to the power plug temporarily if that is acceptable ?Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

Actually I got it all working. Using a firecracker interface on a debian box with the bottlerocket cli tool. I just created little shell scripts that fire off off of a cron job. So now my replays reboot once a week and our hot water recirculation pump is more efficient. I had a spare appliance module and this is funny. I setup the cron job to turn on the light a 6 PM so there is a light on when we come home. Well this morning at 6 AM I heard a click and saw light under the bedroom door.. Doh 6 am not 6 pm
