I'm looking for an all in one printer/scanner/copier. I don't really need fax but it probably comes with anyway. Trying to keep the price around $200. I had an Epson C64 printer but the print head is cloged beyond cleaning. I like the Durabrite Ink because it dosn't fade or bleed and it makes a good photo. But if it drys in the head, you're screwed. I want the all in one features for the scanning ability. I have some very old books and photos I want to archive/edit. I don't really print that much, but when I do I want it to look good. Any suggestions?

Nothing epson... Some of their printers won't print if it's missing 1 color, forcing you to buy that cartridge just so you can print again. Great example... Was trying to print out some text for the wifey's research project, and it wouldn't print. Found out the printer was out of blue ink, not black (Black was a fresh cartridge). Reset the printer, still wouldn't let me print, kept saying I was low on ink and wouldn't let me print untill I got a new cartridge....

I've had good luck with the Canon MP series of printers. We own a Pixma MP500 series which has been replaced by a newer model (of course) but I'd give them a look and see what is currently offered.

This is but one unit of their model line, so you may find something that better suites your interests with a little Googling help.Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

I have the Lexmark X4875 Its all in one except fax... There is a fax version.
It works really good. Its also wireless if you have a wireless network in you home. You can connect serveral PC's to this printer too. If you have wireless then all you need is one cable and thats the PowerSupply. Just for kicks.... I scan a dollar and it came out pretty real. (for a non-laser printer or photo ink) It takes two ink cartridges (one cartridge for colors and one cartridge for black)
The menu settings is really simple to use. Also has a one touch scan button. I havent plug my SD cards for photo transfer since I always upload them to my PC and sometimes photoshop some pictures.
it cost me $149.99 at OfficeMax check out some review if you like... I like it.
One note: the ink Cartridges is fairly small. (I havent really print much) so this may come in issue.

I like and use Canon. What ever you get, get one with individual ink cartridges. There is nothing worse than replacing a cartridge because only one of the colors is empty. Remember printer manufacturers make their money off of ink not the printers they sell.

My mom's had a few different HP printers over the years now, keeps getting newer/better models, lol. I'm actually using one of her "older" printers for myself now, had great luck and runs with all of them, as well as awesome quality.

Not their newer ones. My mom's printer has 7 cartridges, 6 different colors and a black. It's on the CMYB color scheme.

SWEET ! I have been suitably impressed at how well our MP500 has held up without any complaints. The paper tray doesn't hold a lot of paper, but its been used hard by my wife for printing, scanning and copying for the better part of two years now without any issues.
Glad to hear we could help yo out, MHOh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin
