Instead of kicking the player from the squad, start a new squad. That's what I do if I want a TS Squad.

Can't do that when the server is full and all of the squads have too many players to allow someone to join them. That was the issue I was having when we were at capacity yesterday.

Yeah, I also think another solution (And this is on DICE) is to raise the squad size to 5 or 6 players. Preferable 6. That way more people in the same squad and TS chan.
I sort of liked the larger TS channel. It wasn't too chatty and it was mostly tactical. Helps since I don't know anyone or their voices and I can't tell who is talking But then again, the server was not even half full during that time for me.
But I do see the point of having it divided into squads. I'm sure it can get to be too much when the server is full. I've been trying to switch squads in hopes of being with folks on TS. But lord, don't let me be a squad leader. I am totally lost on most of these maps.
Why oh why couldn't they just implement squad VOIP like we had in BF2 and BF2142? Their current "solution" only works if you pre-form your squad before joining the server through Battlelog...
That said, here are my opinions concerning TS. Overall I think it is better to split everyone into teams when more that 10 or so get in TS. Otherwise you lose the team aspect of VOIP. I don't think we should split into squads, though, because there are still a lot of people who play on the server but don't join TS. If you get stuck on a squad with no one else in TS, it sucks. Anyway, that is just my opinion.

Good feedback. I can look into that, it is easy enough to implement.
For the next few days or week, I"ll bow to the wishes of the majority and leave you all in one big channel.
Fair enough. And those of us that want to enjoy the squad-based comms can just use another method.

I say keep the teams auto switch but leave the squad option optional. I think kicking people from a squad in game would make us a lot more like a snobby clan. I think sharing the Cains lair spirit by teaming up with public players has always been an important part of our community and that we shouldn't allow the fact that EA/Dice have dropped the ball on this important factor lower our standards.

I fought having a TS server for years, because I did not want our folks to silo themselves off from the rest of the players in-game - and unfortunately this is exactly what is happening.
Folks, PLEASE type text chat, please read and interact with the other players and try to recruit them here just like you were recruited here.
If we are unsuccessful recruiting more folks for our server we will be looking at an empty server in the not too distant future.
Remember each and every single player is doing us a favor by picking our server over the other 7,000 out there. Welcome them, interact with them and make them feel welcome...
Schultzy I'll squad up with you and chat in Battlecom next time we play, that will be fun.
I'm in for some tactical channels, if you can give us the option to join into teams from the masses. It got a bit overwhelming today with everyone, and while I can go with both sides I tend to focus more on tactics in game.

Teamspeak adds a different depth to the game you cannot get without it. I find I can't stand playing the game alone. It just isn't fun. So I have to find a place/people I can play with that will do just that. If I wanted all the comm chatter, I'd just turn on the TV.
Simple solution is to just not join Teamspeak for me. Play a round and disappear.

Just ask squad or teammates to join a different channel. Use one of the squad channels.

As much as I like team squad speak. I am trying to work as the squad leader with people not on TS. Hopefully I can entice them to stay with a semi-good squad leader.
