The financial success that comes from making a console game is was screwed PC games. You can re-skin a game and make hundreds of millions of dollars. The biggest problem with BF3 is, and most of you won't agree, are the unlocks and leveling up. Look at Unreal Tournament 2004. That game almost had a two year run here. No leveling up, no unlocks, maybe the same number of maps. I have like 1600 hours into that game. You didn't get points for healing tanks. You didn't get points for capping nodes. It was more about team win and nothing to do with any kind of personal gain. No medals, no ribbons, no ranks, no unlocks, no squads. And it was 100 times more fun. All these modern day hyper detailed robust FPS shooters with their MMO and RPG elements can not match the longevity of the older games. Because when people are leveled up and have unlocked all the weapons, they feel there is nothing left to do. You can fix the VOIP, you can fix weapon recoil, but none of that will fix this game.Old school or the new, doesn't mean a thing if your heart's not true...

for me its all about playing and chatting with people I know.
Its more about the people then the game. I can always play alone.
The tweaks in the guns don't bother me too much. You could have one weapons for each and I would be ok. I do like rankings though. I don't strive for it, but its a nice boost to the ego.

I agree. 2142 was the most fun for me with the lair. Especially since EVERYTHING worked right. And the Transport of Doom. Was so much fun.Dracontius - North America - Summoners - League of Legends Statistics - lolking.net - My LoL stats etc

Just one problem was the movement of the Titans caused horrible server lag and even crashes. It took them forever to fix it. And the only way they were able to do that was to make the Titans immovable.
