Steam or retail?

It's usually possible to give/sell a used game if it's on a disc, but not if it's purchased through Steam.

I've lost download id's before and lost dlc because of it. It's why I couldn't play northern strike for bf2142 on my new rig.

Using steam to launch a game can be a help. The only way I can play AvP is through steam. Don't buy AvP btw. It sucks.

I play BFBC2, COD4, Company of Heros and all the stardock games without the disc. If you can't travel with a lineup like that then you might wanna seek counselling.
