I just wrote down my typical list of games I have already beta tested, open and closed betas, along with a short job description (systems analyst) where part of my job is quality testing applications, finding bugs, reporting them to It and working on fixes and retesting.

Its usually a pretty good write up to get into a beta, as they figure that if you do this for a living, and have prior beta testing experience, then you should be good to go

The only beta experience i have is 2142. But as it was a battlefield game i hope it counts, and then some.

Nothing yet. I think it had been up for a day or two before I posted it here, so I'm guessing they are in the process of expanding the beta to include the likely huge amount of interest.

It might take another week or two....we'll see.

WoW! We have received so many requests for Beta access and we’re very excited.

We are constantly getting feedback from our current testers, which in turn enables us to improve the game at a very good rate.
At the same time we’ve been working on getting more servers available and testing the stability of the current ones.

We expect to let more testers into “the Arena” this week, so keep your eyes peeled for some good news.

AHEM.

There will be no "servers" for this game. No server browser.

This is going to have "console-like" matchmaking, and it will probably be run end-to-end by EA in order to protect their revenue stream for DLC. GoGo Casual Gaming

If they do allow Cain to run a server at some point, I'm not sure how it'd work, since there would be no way for us to join "his" server as far as I can tell. I'm sure there will be some sort of friends system in place though.
