Nope you do not need a dvd to play it.Comment

The boxed game is a dvd and you dont need it in the drive to play the online version but you need it in the drive to play single player.Comment

Yup, same here. I just gave the demo a playthrough, and I bought the sucker through Steam right after. I couldn't wait until the weekend to go pick it up from a store. As someone who doesn't play a lot of single player FPSes (I like multiplayer), that was just too amazing to pass up. I can't wait to see what multiplayer is like.Originally posted by Cold Catalyst

BTW, I'm 95% I'll have a COD4 Server up Friday night.
I have to drive to Columbia to manually install the CD, then figure out how to get the sucker up and running.
