is UAV jammer and a silencer necessary?

Well, when playing I tend to see a lot of people using both UAV jammer, AND a silencer. If you have UAV jammer, do shots still make you show up on radar?

I'm not sure, but you can still hear where the person is if they don't have a silencer which is just as good.

Yes to the question. You will show up on radar if you fire a shot, even with UAV jammer. However, I don't personally worry about it, as I have usually hosed down my target (or gotten killed myself) and have moved on before anyone can get to the point where I showed up on radar if I'm using my stealth class. I'd rather have something more interesting or useful than the silencer.

See I was thinking wrong. So UAV Jammer only helps you to not show up when someone does a UAV Scan?

you still show up as red dot if you shoot without a silencer even if u have uav jammer.
Ive seen people with sniper rifles or shotguns and uav jammer, and i think thats very stupid. hehe

Actually, the shotgun/uav jammer is extremely effective. Try it before you knock it.

honestly, i just dont get the point. shotguns cant be silenced, you show up red everytime you shoot. its more of a waste when you can have juggernaout or sleight of hand.
also, cainslair is 25v25, we shoot very often, you can put a much more useful perk than uav jammer which works only when uav is swept and is still ruined everytime you shoot

if i go stealth, id rather have silencer without uav jammer, and not uav jammer without silencer. but thats just my personal opinion.

if i'm going stealth, then i'm going full stealth. It'd be a mp5 w/ silencer extreme conditioning, uav jammer, and deal silence.... That way they hear nothing!

I love the mp5 with uav jammer and silencer also. From how people have seen me play with that kit.... it's all about the sneaky knifing.

Another answer that is the same really... Yes you need both. BUT having a UAV jammer, means u cant have stopping power, which makes it soooo hard to kill anyone with a silenced weapon.

M16 takes care of not having stopping power. So does an AK, but the 16 is a bit more accurate.

Dead silence isn't necessary on Cains or the majority of TDM servers, seeing as there is constant gunfire and explosions going off to mask your footsteps. on a hardcore S&D server, with 16-20 people, there's where you need it

M16, unless i'm binding, it pretty much sucks for me.
AK, I cant take all the recoil (not at all accurate by the way)

I love UAV jammer. Its nice for ambushing people since a lot of people think that if there is a UAV scan and someone doesnt show up around that corner then its clear only to find me standing there because I see them on the radar.
