Yeah, if you liked that tip.. How bout this one? In order to stop the crashing of the cs:go game . Type in console or add to your autoexec script.

cl_disablehtmlmotd 1

This will definitely stop the crashing while playing in match-making games. And since I've had it in my script. .I haven't crashed once in Cain's either. I was just waiting to see some results before sharing..

I'd like to note that that command will also disable some non-motd things.

Like, for example, in the HellsGamers servers they offer a radio with the !radio command.
(Also !gangs and !drugs for Jailbreak.)

It refuses to load the html required for the plugins to work.

Ya know, that's very interesting.. And has got my wheels turning on this one.. I think it may be safe to say at this point. That what ever Valve did on Dec. 3rd's update and now with the cs:go crashing problem. Has something directly to do with their latest fix interacting with Source mod and source mod plug-ins, and possibly some other commands that are frequently used or auto used by the server. And when they are, could be causing the crash altogether.. Kinda makes sense huh?

I've actually contacted Valve on this one.. And turns out, their actually recommending the the cl_disablehtmlmotd 1 command also.. But all I can recommend is to cl_disablehtmlmotd 0 while playing in HellsGamers Servers or Jailbreak if you wish to be fully functional in those types of servers. This fix is definitely great for pubs and match-making. Especially matchmaking. Because you get 15 min cool down bans and up to 2 hour bans when you can NOT get back into the server of your match due to this cs:go crashing.. This command eliminates that issue so you can have smooth game play.
