Server needs a restart

Stuff done gone messed up. Been laggy all day now some people are getting "Failure to join, session no longer valid" on trying to join.

MOTD is randomly paying advertisements and music, getting lots of error messages in console.

It is not the server. It must be on your side. I was not getting any adds nor hearing any radios playing.

Apache; it's everyone. Volume seems to vary by people, it's motd advertisements constantly.

I had some sound problems when hearing other people. I am not sure if it was me or them. Other then that I played 2 rounds yesterday and didn't have any problems.

I've never heard of this on Cain's prior to a few days ago and I've personally never seen ads run on the motd.


I don't doubt that you're encountering an issue, but I agree with apache it doesn't look like it's the server.

Only happening here and was happening to a lot of people yesterday afternoon. Typing "motd" in chat would cut it for a few minutes.

That seems to turn it off "forever." From googling, other forums say this is a server side setting that's running the adds.

I have not seen or hear from anyone said anything of this in-game.

It is very strange for our motd plugins to show any other ads except our forums and stats.

msg us a soon as it comes up or take a screenshot of it. it would help a lot.

There's no popup. It's just background noise playing. Just keeps coming back. Does generate a shitload of errors in console then.

I've been researching this a bit, and it seems to be a game wide issue that came with the arms deal update. Why it's not happening to everybody is beyond me. However, there's some threads on Steam's forum if you wanna check it out there: http://forums.steamgames.com/forums/...lay.php?f=1188
You'll probably be able to get better answers there, than from here, being that none of us have experienced this bug.
