Fallout 3: The Pitt DLC

Since the game has a very definate ending point I would assume you should be able to jump into new content as soon as you load it up.

***SPOILER****

If you find yourself walking behind a robot about 50' tall then you are nearing the end of the main quest. If you don't want to make a new character and start over you might wanna go wander the wastelands and explore.

Both DLC packs are introduced as new quest lines, so you can do them in pretty much any order. Just save as you walk behind the robot; I used that final save as my starting point for Anchorage.

This might also be rumors so don't take my word for it.

The next DLC Broken Steel is suposed to allow you send Hawkes into the purification system, that way you get to keep playing after the game's ending and hit level 30.

Your mission will be to get rid of the remaining Enclave and the new super mutants that have shown up, it's suposed to be as long as the Pitt and have 6 new achivements.

I'm not crazy about this live crap. Is it free?

Neither am I. I think it should be downloaded from Bethesda in the download section instead of going through GFW to get it.

I'm mostly done, just need to go back for some optional ingot gathering. It's got some nice touches here and there, and I played out both sides to the main quest. Seems that one path should be evil, but actually isn't. You can make more out of it than the game does, based off of actions of the NPCs.

Good scenery and locations, a bit short, nifty new toys to play with. Not much by way of creature additions, and the new perks are only partially interesting.

Basically it's like entering a big Vault. You get a taste of the game, but it leaves you wanting more.

Speaking of vaults, for some really weird reason Vault 87 shows up on my map as an unexplored location now, even though that's where you meet Fawkes, and he's standing in my house.

P.S. One screenshot. Wasn't thinking much about getting some, but you can see certain Pittsburgh landmarks on the way into town.

I had the same thing with Vaukt 87. I though it was because I entered through little town.

That could be it. Maybe whenever I got back in to gather more stuff, I'll trudge up there and see if it pops up as a fast travel location, even if you can't go in the front door.

I think it's meant to remain unexplored, it's the only unexplored location in my map. No matter which way you take you just insta-die the moment you go anywhere near it.

u can always use the "tgm" console cheat. even that the exterior door is marked "[INACCESSIBLE]

I finished Fallout 3 last night and I was extremely disappointed.

Ghey was what came to my mind- no cliffhanger- just a chapter close.
This game should have been left open.

This just says that they ran out of time and met the deadline- a great game ruined by big government budgets.


I dont think I will be buying the download content for two reasons:

I agree with todd- why Microshaft?
I also look at what Rand said, and if Rand says it is short, then it must be VERY short.
