Anybody else going to give it a try ?? I bought it this morning via Steam, so I will be playing it over the long weekend.

I seriously miss the base building part of the game, but I decided to buy it and see if I still like playing without any resource management of your base.

stupid steam messed up on release date, confusing people that it be out on the 15, then now changing back to 9, no chance for a pre-order,and i heard the steam installation is kinda screwed up. steam failed me again. although i really wanna get this game , i have both previous games CoH n OF. but we'll see what happens. steam is getting worse by the minutes with support with third party products.

Played it a bit ... skirmish and the new mini-campaigns. I gave up and paid $7 for a 'trainer' (essentially a hack that allows unlimited pop cap, ammo and instant builds).

Obviously, this doesn't help when you can't build a base to start with, which is what I DON'T like, but I knew this game was going in that direction, so I bought it because I like supporting the devs.

I'll then pick up CoH2 (if it ships this year, maybe by Xmas) which is rumored to finally be adding the Russian and Japanese factions to the game. While I enjoyed the Brits, the Germans vs. Russians will be epic in scale. I can't wait to re-enact a Kursk tank battle.
