I left Dogmeat in my Megaton shack so he would be where I needed him if a place ever got too tuff. Never needed him but I guess he stayed safe. He barks at the super mutant that followed me home later on. That thing would not fit through the door.
Lol. I took dogmeat to the super duper mart, left him at the front entrance while I went in and cleaned out the raiders. I was digging for loot in the back room when I heard a raider's voice on the intercom, later, saying "hey, something ain't right here". Oh crap! I ran to the front of the store, killed them, and found poor dogmeat's body by the nuka cola machine!
A deathclaw would be nice. But, like you Rico, I'd probably just leave it in the shack, or on the patio if it didn't fit. Old Skud rides solo in the wild since dogmeat died...it's a wild place out there!
I restarted every time dogmeat died. I think he may have leveled up as I did because he seemed to get tougher as time went on. There were a few time that I would send him to the vault 101 entrance to avoid him getting killed. I went everywhere with him and my super mutant friend.

Lol. That's a motley crew! You, sir, are stylin, though!
I don't take my pets (including my super mutant ) anywhere. They're either likely to die, or likely to kill whatever I'm attacking and stealing my exp. The beginning quest of Broken Steel was annoying like that: peeps keept stealing my bloody kills!

You're missing your Brotherhood of Steel buddy. Bonus points however for the "Love Shack" theme or whatever it was called.
Guys, if you only get one DLC pack, this is the one. It's just awesome all around (though the level 22 perks are sort of lame). Here's some random images as I continue towards a slow journey to completion:
Me in sexy nightwear and a sweet wig:
Chess, fallout style:
This one is dark, but nice. A little sick tableau: two poor tied up teddies, being photographed by a sadistic lawn gnome:
I'm having a blast with this pack. It's much better than the other two put together.

P.S. By the way, anyone know what happens to stored gear if you change your house theme? Does it automatically go into the new storage container, or is it lost?
