I have yet to play vs but I have beat 3 of the campaigns so far and all I got to say is its significantly better than the first. The variety of guns/etc is pretty cool - the added special infected are pretty sweet as well as the non-common infected. The map design is worlds better as previously stated.

All in all, if you liked L4D then you won't be disappointed with l4d2.

+1 I love all the new weapons as well as the different ammo that you can use. I played with a guy last night who went an entire round with a chainsaw, you gotta love that option.

Just got in on the deal for $10 for both and since I had already played and finished L4D, I moved onto L4D2 last night. Was progressing nicely until I got the the damn mall and hit the alarm on the door ...

Cripes, they never STOP COMING !!! My whole squad got wiped out within sight of the blasted alarm. I was playing single player, so there was not a lot of intelligent help for me, but if someone is playing tonight, help a friend out and show me how to finish that level.

Ohh, and I REALLY dig that grenade launcher .. baa --WHOOM !! My favorite weapon by far, but the laser scoped AK is also a killing piece of loveliness.

Find a corner with very little breaching room and grab a shotty if any. I don't have the game but corners are friendly.

FD, the deal ended at 4 PM yesterday. Back up to $19.99 now

I found a corner and would swing once and then melee push them off .. repeat and rinse (same strategy used in L4D) but in this case, one mutant zombie trashed that strategy. The new zombies make it tougher than the original.

The key for that part of the level is ammo conservation and to keep moving toward the objective. If you can get an adrenaline shoot then run to turn the alarm off. Remember with adrenaline an attack from behind will not stop you. When I get home from DFW maybe we can get some zombie smashing in.

Be sure to beat the clowns with an iron frying pan at some point, it's my favorite sound with my second favorite sound being using the guitar.

i just bought it from steam 2 days ago....just takes a long fricken time to download.......yay 80 k/bs.......and screw living out in the country because in our area all the companies that can get internet to use way out in the middle of nowhere, says they are not gonna be getting the new fiber optic stuff so im stuck with awesomesauce

When i was in Sydney I was so pissed about the low bandwidth. I asked a coworker and apparently the speeds i was getting were fairly common. I also asked about peak and offpeak caps. I couldnt believe that some of the plans advertised were like 40 gb total bandwidth a month during peak (8a to like 3a). I've pulled that down in a day before, and I dont torrent much!

its done downloading and i can say i enjoy it like the 1st one, and the new DLC comes with it and its about $7 total for L4D2 idk how long the sale is, but i also enjoy the new DLC

Got in a game with Jeffro and got my @ss handed to me. In no time at all the entire team was down leaving me by the spawn. I then got verbally assaulted from a team member for not coming to their rescue on the spot.
Keep in mind this was the second time I had ever played the game .. I didn't even have my bindings set up properly, so it soured me on the game in one sitting. I've gone back to playing offline mode what with these ignorant internet trolls who call you every name in the book for ruining their game.

Same old L4D for me. No wonder I never bothered to buy L4D2 when it came out !!

I've gone back to TF2 where I can actually play well without getting a verbal tongue lashing from the rampaging 15 year olds.
