Two Handers almost always do more damage, but I kinda don't like that you can't block with your sword while using a spell.
BTW, how do you perform executions? I saw a video of a guy that killed a dragon. I just killed the same dragon, but had to whack it to death.
Is there a specific way to do it?
Also, it seems that you need to level up smithing and enchanting in order to be good. It also appears Heavy Armor is the way to go, since Light Armor doesn't have any good perks unless you specifically are playing as a sneaky character, but with sneak being as easy as hitting "cntrl - C" into a wall in an inn and going afk, and putting all the perks into sneak, I don't see much of a need for sneaking.
Looks like I'm going to take a break from questing and start working on my Smithing and Enchanting if I can. I'd go and look for materials myself, but that often gets me bored, lost, and frustrated

Anyone find the "choose your own adventure" book yet? It was great to see, but I need to read and play it.

Game is about positioning it seems and the AI does tend to fail at positioning. With how easy the Sneak skill is, and the Dark Brotherhood armor with the Assassin's Blade perk, you can do x30 with a sneak attack. With a high enough sneak (mine is now 8, you can stand in front of people. I also heard the last perk for sneak makes it so you can use a sneak attack in the middle of a fight.
I do love now that I learned how to execute people from behind as a *SPOILER* "Companion Circle Member".
I heard that Destruction is useless, but so far I'm loving conjuration, despite about there being only 5% of the spells Morrowind had, and about 20% of what Oblivion had.
I got a dragon to attack me in Dawnstar. That was epic. I just hope they don't end up being as annoying as those bleeping Cliff Racers from Morrowind. God those things were annoying...

By comparison--Bethesda: Elder Scrolls 1-5, of which Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are terrific, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas.
Employees for both worked for either Black Isle or Obsidian. Here's what they came up with in addition to the above: Fallout 2, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2.
That just jaw-droppingly impressive for what is essentially a small group with a core of maybe 20 guys.

Here is a little mod that has worked out well for me. Large Address Aware. By default Skyrim on uses 2GB of RAM, if you have 4+ GB of RAM this works wonders.
It seemed to resolves alot of crashing to desktop issues I had. After enabling it 40%+ of my 12GB is used, before only 25% was used.
Some claim they could play on Ultra settings with it enabled. But wasnt the case for me. After about 20mins of game play FPS drop t under 10.

Okay, so I really need to stop looking up where to find things if I get lost. So apparently, Smithing is by far the easiest skill to train while you're at your computer. So, I got it to level 100 without challenge (which surprises me since it provides the best armor when you hit 100).
I'm having troubles here. I see a dragon, floating ahead doing circles and doing their roars. So, I get prepared, summon my bound sword and get my heal spell ready. The Dragon then does circle, roaring for about 50 seconds and then flies away.
I want to battle it? Anyone know how to make it stop being a coward and fight me? Is it because of my level? I'm level 36 or so (It's quite easy to level in this game if you use skills often).

As for that sissy dragon, I hear ya bro. Damn thing happens to me all the time. I look for other bad guys(bandits firing arrows at it) and then try the 3 way fight there(insert phantom 3-way joke here) with all my focus on NOTHING but the dragon. If that fails, reload and try again or wave your arms in frustration and get on your horse and chase the bastard. Maybe he/she is just going somewhere else to feed?Dracontius - North America - Summoners - League of Legends Statistics - lolking.net - My LoL stats etc

Yeah I'm trying to finish my dragon set and all I need is the boots. I finally got one to attack me - a blood dragon. I whooped it, looted it, and only 1 scale and 1 bone. All I could do with that is upgrade something, which is what I want to do after I complete the set to get the perk bonus.
I then found one of the Dragon words, but it was guarded by a freaking Elder Dragon. That thing whooped my rear side. So, after loading, I used my max sneak to get the word. I did, but the Dragon still woke up. I ran through a cave to the other side of it and exited and the thing landed right in front of me. That was SO badass, but luckily my horse was right there so I hopped on and got the hell out of there.
Still having trouble finding Dragons though, even when I see one they still tend to run. I think it might have something to do with it not having enough places to land or attack, because there are too many damned trees.
I also got married... spent around 8k furishing and buying a house. Marriage... does nothing. I heard a rumor that you can adopt a kid from the orphanage that the kid tells you to go to inorder to get accepted into the Dark Brotherhood, but haven't tried that yet.
I'm also trying to find out the use of Alchemy in this game. I mean, I get it, make pots and poisons, but how the hell do I use a poison? And, like the last 2 games, ingredients to make good potions are hard to come by, and alchemy is so hard to level, compared to enchanting and smithing, which are much better.
I also don't see a point in Shadow Warrior perk unless you have a companion. I thought I'd be able to escape some battles but you turn invisible for about half a second. And I don't use companions since I like to sneak around.

Heh, its so fun. I was fighting a blood dragon last night and there was almost no cover around. He wouldn't land, just kept strafing me. I finally found a stump to hide behind so he landed and we were playing the chase me round the stump while I cast at you game. It was going pretty well until I noticed I was taking damage from behind and realized I now had a cave bear beating on me too. Well much to my surprise the dragon flames him and pisses him off so he goes after the dragon. I stop circling the stump and figure I'll just finish off the winner of the wounded dragon vs the healthy cave bear. They go round and round for a minute, the dragons health is very low and the bear is fading fast, they spin around and I see the dragon breath on the bear one last time and the bear falls. Then I thought a giant hit me but nope, turns out the dragon tail swiped me. Ouch, not as bad as the giant but still a nice one shot death. Sigh. Epic fight
