Hello to all my old friends and (soon to be) new friends on Cains...best frickin' servers on the PLANET!

I was pumped when I got the email that TF2 was back at the Lair...finally a good place to learn and not get "noobed" off the server (since I suck...haha).

Since is has been such a long time...I have a question: I've played several times over the past week or so and I seem to see and hear a LOT of swearing on the server. Has the language rule on the servers changed? My 10 year old son (10 year old...wow I'm getting old!) likes to watch me play but I've had to stop letting him because of the F-bombs dropped on VoIP and text chat (he can read it faster than I can haha). Whenever I hear or read it I wait for (what I thought would be) the inevitable flood of "watch your language please" which we used to get on the UT2k4 server all the time...but I haven't seen or heard that happen...so that made me wonder if the rules had changed.

If they have changed no biggie...I'll just play when my kids are in bed...just thought I'd ask and get a big "HI" in to all my buds.

Hey ole buddy, same server rules apply, but we have loosened the rope just alittle while we get the server in order.
We have some other {CLjRs} playing as well and will always continue to look out for and teach the youngsters.

As for the swearing, its a temp thing when a new server is put up. Things that get really out of hand are delt with.

Welcome back, Bean ! You could always pop the headset on, which is what I do when my daughter watches me play on weekends. She doesn't need to hear anything, but she loves seeing Daddy light the other team on fire.

1) You can easily mute any player you want in this game, which is cool... Hit ESC, find "Mute Players" - click the player and mute.

2) I'll be installing a SM plugin to block "bad language" soon....

This thread demonstrates the reason why Cain's Lair ROCKS. I love playing with a great group of peeps like you guys. Just have to get better!
