It's an RPG kind of like Oblivion was. I don't that there is a demo so it would be hard to try it out. It is not fast paced like the FPSs we play here but it is a lot of fun. You could ask Todd how he likes it. Here is his thread. http://www.cainslair.org/showthread.php?t=9044

Wife called her Mom who was on other end of town. She went to Target and bought it ... but ... she's keeping it until I (or somebody in my family) can get over there and pick it up !!!

Thanks Duke! I have ask him now! How is! Oh like Oblivion which i have not played, but have seen a friend of mine playing it.
Ok no demo..that was to bad, i have notice lately that all games now, who has coming out, there have been no demo, thats to bad, oh sorry well in FIFA 09 it was a demo, hmm can't remember if it was more.

I shall read the reviews on gamespot about Fallout 3.

It's interesting finding various ways folks tried to deal with the bombs. I stumbled across an abandoned shack in the middle of nowhere, and found both a skeleton and a toaster in a bathtub.

Only had an hour or so to play on Sunday night and I really do like the game.

Not a fan of the FPS style shooting in the game, I prefer to use the VATS as in this type of game, I like to focus more on RPG elements.

Maybe that will change when I don't suck at shooting

There's around 6-8 Vaults I think! I have the explorer perk so I can see all the locations on the map but I have yet to travel to each one or look at all the names.

I recently found the alien crash site and I love the gun you get...SINGLE HANDELY the BEST gun in the whole game. They die and they turn into a pile of ashes. Watch them die in VAT mode and OMG so cool to watch them disinegrate (spelling). So cool! Hunting the items for rail gun now! Also heading to Paradise Falls! Die Slavers!

I actually had no idea there were more than 1 vault until I read your post.
So I believe you just spoiled that part of the story for me, hence your post being a spoiler.

Revealing anything from the game that is not viewable in a commercial can be considered a spoiler.

When I play these games, I?m try to get into the lore and feeling of the time, discovering things as I go.

Its just about being mindful of those we just started playing and might not know of the things you are posting.

Alien crash site? I had no idea.

As for the whole "I'll quit the Lair", no need to be a drama queen. Hammy just asked something, no need to get all freaky.

I stuck with the FPS style and it does get better when your weapons score improves. I do use the VATS for sniper shots though.
